In 2014 OCLT received Big Local funding to develop their ideas to help improve and regenerate this deprived area of Hastings. OCLT are currently liaising with Hastings Borough Council, South Coast College (Hastings) Hastings Academy, Sustrans, and others.

Ore Village

Ore Community Land Trust (OCLT) are a local community group based in Ore Village. OCLT’s key objectives are to protect and enhance local greenspace to help meet community needs, for better local amenity recreation and play.OCLT were key agents in helping to save Speckled Wood from the threat of extensive housing development, and are currently developing a Speckled wood Vision and management plan that includes plans for an integral Greenwaylink, a new village green, and a local nature reserve.
