ORE VALLEY TECHNO PARK

This concept project is focused around the lower Ore Valley, a deprived ward in Hastings with a low skills and employment base.The lower valley is dominated a new technical college and a wooded valley setting. Rather than a piecemeal approach to redevelopment, the whole setting requires a major rethink as a special focus area (SFA).

Ore Valley Techno Park

The project is triggered by an urgent need to relocate an existing Network Rail contractors compound away from Hastings town centre, the potential of a Network Rail training partnership with the Ore’s technical college and Brighton University (Hastings), and the concept of a high tech park in an attractive woodland setting. This transformative project could be developed and delivered by the Hastings Greenway Group, Network Rail, Hastings Borough Council, Sea Change, East Sussex County Council, and others.
